**Revised Story:**

Mr. Emmanuel was a NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) member at our school. He was tall, dark, handsome, and very intelligent, teaching with ease. He had a unique ability to make everyone around him understand what he was teaching. He was the talk of the school and the entire community. All the students at Maranatha International School loved and admired him, including the parents.

Among all the parents, Mama Amaka praised him the most. She sang his praises to everyone around her, constantly telling people how he had helped her daughter, Amaka, become more serious about her studies.

Mama Amaka would often send food and packages to Mr. Emmanuel. One fateful day, Mr. Emmanuel followed Amaka home to appreciate Mama Amaka for all her love and support. Upon arrival, Mama Amaka warmly welcomed him and expressed her gratitude for the care he had shown to her daughter. As they sat down, a deep conversation unfolded.

Mr. Emmanuel confided in Mama Amaka that he didn’t have proper accommodation and his NYSC allowance wasn’t enough to afford a house near the school, especially since it was located in a posh area. Feeling sorry for him, Mama Amaka decided to offer him a room in their boys’ quarters. She thought it would be a wonderful way to thank him for his contribution to Amaka’s academic life. It also seemed like a great investment in her daughter's education.

Mr. Emmanuel was overjoyed at the offer. Mama Amaka’s house was large and comfortable, and the salary he received for tutoring Amaka in the evenings was almost double the NYSC allowance he received from the government. He eagerly accepted the offer, saying, “Yes, Ma! Yes, Ma! God bless you!” He could already imagine how his life would change for the better.

But little did Mama Amaka know, she was unknowingly setting her daughter up for an unbearable situation. Amaka was Mama Amaka’s only child, born after over 15 years of barrenness. Her late husband had stood by her side despite pressures to marry another woman who could bear children. He believed that children were a gift from God, and since neither he nor his wife had any medical issues, he was willing to wait for as long as it took. Their wait ended shortly after their 15th wedding anniversary when Mama Amaka finally became pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Amaka.

Her husband was overjoyed, and Amaka became the apple of his eye. He worked hard to give Amaka and her mother the best life they could have ever dreamed of. For 12 years, he provided comfortably, thanks to his wealth. Tragically, he died in a car accident while returning from work one fateful day.

Since his passing, Mama Amaka had promised her late husband that she would take care of Amaka and train her in the best way possible. She had done her best to raise Amaka with good morals, teaching her to respect elders and behave well. However, there was one important lesson Mama Amaka had failed to teach her daughter—sex education. Mama Amaka thought Amaka was still too young to learn about such things, so she never had that conversation. Instead, she simply told her daughter not to let any man touch her. This advice, though well-meaning, confused Amaka, as she had seen male classmates touch other girls without any apparent harm. So, she didn’t take her mother’s warnings to heart.

Amaka was an obedient girl and serious about her academics, but she struggled with subjects like mathematics and other calculations. However, after Mr. Emmanuel started teaching her, she made incredible progress in those subjects. This made Amaka admire him even more, and she was happy to have him as a tutor.

As time passed, the bond between Mr. Emmanuel and Amaka grew stronger. They spent a lot of time together, and Mama Amaka felt relieved, thinking that she no longer needed to spend as much time at home because Mr. Emmanuel was there to keep Amaka company. She began spending most of her time at her supermarket, leaving only 15-year-old Amaka and Mr. Emmanuel at home.

Most nights, Mr. Emmanuel would make Amaka’s bed for her, and this went on for months. Their bond deepened, and one fateful evening, Mr. Emmanuel went to check on Amaka, as he usually did. When he arrived at her room, Amaka was wearing only a towel, having just finished her bath.

His eyes widened with lust as he gazed at her smooth skin, her fair thighs, and her curvy figure. He walked slowly toward her, attempting to touch her, but Amaka pushed his hand away. However, Mr. Emmanuel had already fallen for her, and he forcefully dragged her onto the bed. Despite Amaka’s attempts to scream, he covered her mouth with his hand and had his way with her. Afterward, Amaka was left bleeding, and Mr. Emmanuel quickly went to his room to grab a tissue, instructing her to clean up and also wash the bedsheets. He also warned her not to tell anyone, threatening that if she did, he would make sure she failed all her subjects and even killed her. Amaka was terrified and furious.

When Mama Amaka returned from the market, she noticed something was wrong. Amaka seemed off, but when asked if she was okay, Amaka replied, “Yes, Mama. I’m fine.” Mama Amaka, still concerned, asked her to join her in the kitchen, where they began preparing dinner. Throughout the evening, Amaka seemed distracted, and Mama Amaka asked again if she was sure she was okay. Amaka wanted to tell her mother what had happened but hesitated, remembering her promise to keep it a secret. Just then, Mr. Emmanuel entered the kitchen and gave Amaka a menacing look. Fearing his threat, Amaka quickly said, “Yes, Mama, I’m fine,” though she was shaking.

They had dinner and then went to their rooms. That night, Amaka couldn’t sleep. The events of the day kept replaying in her mind, and she cried herself to sleep.

The next day, Amaka began to let go of the event, but when Mama Amaka went to the supermarket, Mr. Emmanuel approached Amaka again. This time, he apologized for his actions, speaking slowly and politely. He even asked her to be his girlfriend, promising that he would ensure she passed all her subjects and became the top student in her class. Amaka, still shaken but drawn to his words, agreed to become his girlfriend. Soon after, Mr. Emmanuel seduced her again, this time being gentler, and Amaka found herself enjoying it.

Their secret relationship continued for months without Mama Amaka suspecting anything. However, after Amaka's 16th birthday, she missed her period. Panic set in as she realized she might be pregnant. Remembering what they had learned in their biology class, Amaka confided in one of her friends at school. Her friend suggested they buy a pregnancy test from a pharmacy, which they did after school. When Amaka tested it, the results confirmed that she was pregnant.

Terrified, Amaka ran home and told Mr. Emmanuel the news. He was shocked and visibly shaken but begged her not to tell Mama Amaka or anyone else. He promised to figure out a way out of the situation, and Amaka agreed to keep it a secret.

The following Sunday, Mama Amaka went to church. The pastor’s sermon about the importance of parents being close to their children struck her deeply. She felt as though the pastor was speaking directly to her. After the service, she went home, called Amaka to the living room, and apologized for not being there for her. She promised to be a better mother and spend more time with her. As she finished apologizing, she asked Amaka if there was anything she wanted to tell her. Amaka, remembering her promise to Mr. Emmanuel, simply replied, “No, Mama. Let’s make dinner.”

They prepared dinner together, and later, Mama Amaka shared stories of her childhood. Amaka was entertained and begged her mother to spend more time with her like that. Mama Amaka smiled and promised to do so.

The next morning, after their family morning devotion, Mama Amaka made breakfast for herself, Amaka, and Mr. Emmanuel. For the first time in a long while, and when they where don eating, she drove them in her car and dropped them in front of Amaka school, and wave Amaka a lovely good bye as she watched them enter go inside the school premises , then she drove off to her super market.
